The Promise
What happened during the pandemic? How did we go from the first lockdown and the "excellent management" of the government to mourning thousands of dead? How the NHS was prepared between the first and second waves? Why did we have such a high nosocomial infection rate? The infamous strengthening of the National Health System, did it actually happen? Were there enough ICUs? What was the fate of patients intubated outside of Intensive Care Units? What happened in the hospitals in smaller cities? Those who did not speak, but also those who spoke and were not heard, tell the story of a disaster that began with cheers and flares and continues to be written in the dark. view more

The Promise
Twenty-three years striving for the obvious. The cremation of the dead in Greece has been taboo for decades for most of the political spectrum. The influence of the church and the political expediencies did not allow the approval of a law that would allow the creation and operation of crematoriums and when the first law was finally approved, it was drafted in such a way that none of those who had the right to open one, dared to take the risk and come into conflict with the religious establishment.
The "Promise" is a record of the political dimension of this effort, which a man carried on his shoulders for 23 years. It could also be the record of the marathon that has to run every legislative change in Greece, whether it is about human rights issues, such as cremation, or other issues that are in conflict, with established perceptions, stereotypes, anachronisms, traditions that are nothing more than a showcase of financial interests. In the background there is always money.
"The Promise" is a feature investigative documentary in which the protagonists of the "cremation case" unfold an unknown story of political controversy. view more

Yusef's Song
The story takes place in post-revolution Libya. It is a documentary on a country’s rebuilding from scratch after a major event such as a revolution. Not on a practical level, but as people experience it.
The film’s main character is Yusef; a 25 year old man who lives in Benghazi and took part in the revolution. Yusef is a rapper; in fact Libya’s most famous rapper. He wrote the revolution’s songs and his fame has been spread to all Arabian countries.
Yusef is a young man, a modern, typical example of a young person of his time, a fact he enjoys. Just as the overwhelming majority of young people in Libya, Yusef is a faithful Muslim; not a religious zealot but rather an Islamic tradition keeper in everyday life. Through the eyes of Yusef, the documentary tries to unfold young Libyans vision for their country after Gaddafi. view more

Παύλος Σιδηρόπουλος
Pavlos Sidiropoulos was a pioneer of his time, as he was among the first to combine rock with Greek verse and elements of the Greek music tradition. He was the one who introduced rock music to the public, in a period when leftist political song was predominant as an aftermath of the military junta (1967-74). Today he is considered a legendary figure of Greek underground scene, and one of its most influential ones. A restless mind, he experimented not only in music and composition, but also in acting, poetry and writing. This film is a recording of his music legacy as it was passed down to the next generations of artists to this day. It is the description of the artistic footprint of a man who became the “dark hero”, the “Prince”, thus inspiring and opening the way for hundreds of music bands and songwriters in Greece. view more
